Is Hell a Literal Fire?

  • Most people, when thinking about hell, they imagine a literal hell fire, which burn for all eternity. They believe that there will be tormented forever and ever and never burn in the fire. But the Bible makes no such claims. Some preachers even admitted that the invention, which is the fear of eternal hell is nothing but a tactic to get people to come to church. They claim that they have no one to frighten heaven than to love them hell. But a biblical perspective, you can not do, or one of them, and thus they lose their time, so to speak.

    Thus, what the Hell Fire

In order to determine what hell is, and whether it is a literal fire, one should look at all the scriptures that talk about the topic. There is one thing we can say about the subject, but the fires of hell that will burn on each individual. (See Ezekiel 28:18).

The Bible also says that God is a consuming fire. (See Hebrews 12:29). And if God is a consuming fire, what would be the exhaust, or what he is consuming. The only possible explanation is that is that He is the fire that is consuming the evil day of judgment. (See Saghmose 50:3-4) It is God who will cause the fire to come from inside, and the evil that consumes them.

Now the question that remains to be physically consumed by fire anhatakanutyane, thereby causing the death of an individual? The answer to that question no. Jesus died the second death, when He died on the cross, he stands in the fires of hell, but he has not sold yet, as if he was not consumed by the fires of hell, why should anyone else be?

Moreover, Isaiah 66:24 makes it very clear that no one can physically burned by fire. The fire will be the only cause of death (second death), comes from the people.

"And they (the fair) should go forward, and look upon the carcasses of people who have transgressed against me for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall be abhorring unto you all flesh." Isaiah 66:24.

The verse is clear that the bodies are already dead, and just come out and be able to look on them, however, that the fire and the worms are still alive, which means that their bodies are decaying and worms, and fire body and soul to come out of two has been completely destroyed. So before that happens, that person is already dead, and could not care less about the destruction that is going on, for he had already died a second death, never to rise again. Thus the eternal damnation, not eternal torment.
